Ex-H5 "This file cannot be played"

Hi guys, I seem to be having an issue with my Casio Exilim ex-h5 camera that I recently got as a bday present.

Some digital photos I take don't show up on my camera or on my laptop when I transfer the photos.

The photos are taking properly and when I go to the 'View photos' the photo is there...but then if I check again I get an error on the camera: "This file cannot be played"

And when I transfer those photos to my laptop they just show up was jpeg files but nothing comes up when I open it using i.e. Windows Photo Viewer - I get an error that says the WPV can't open the file because it doesn't support the file format even though it is a jpeg.

I'm trying to contact Casio customer support but was hoping someone could also help me out here.
