I was wondering why I have not seen any post on Casio EX-Z1200

It has been out for a while and I am always instrested in new tech stuff.

I have recently purchased the EX-Z1200 and have been incredibly dissapointed with the images which it produces. I am no expert on cameras by any means, but the last Casio I had, and Ex-3 produced by far better looking pictures. The colours seem really washed out, and also very dull. I have tried all of the settings, BestShot (BS) modes, manual changes and default settings to no provail.



My only wonder is, could there be a problem with the camera which needs to be fixed by Casio. I have e-mailed them a sample pictures, the one shown below. The picture below shows the same photograph taken from a friedns Casio Cybershot DSC-N2 (i think thats the model No.), and a picture taken with my Casio EX-Z1200.



What are your opinions on this image, and have you ever known there to be a hardware problem with this model? Any help would be greaty appreciated as I am thoroughly dissapointed with the picture quality if this is how the camera was designed to perform.

Hello,
When I look at the pictures, it looks like the white balance is not the same. Try changing the white balance manually on the casio to see if you can get a similar result as on the Sony.

Johnny,I had the same problem with my Casio EX-Z1050.

I've also considered writing to Casio to complain.

Although lately I've decided it just must be that model.As I had great results with my original Casio QV-R40.I bought the 1050 to replace it as its got way better video (no sound on the QV!) and 6 million more pixels.

See attached pic with my two casio's and an old Creative camto illustrate what I mean!

Its simply a 279 dollar pocket camera....perhaps spending the time to read the PFD Instructions would be a good idea

The results I'm getting are just fine....its a great little camera

Wow! Just Awesome! You just have to know what your doing!

I have Z-750 and never had a problem with lens error!

I knew what Not to do, don't let anything hit the lens

barrel when it opens! I will get a new Casio this year!
