Hi all,

I just recieved my new Z-1000 camera. I am quite pleased with it, with the exception of one thing... When I record a video, I get some sort of high pitched background "intereference" noise in the audio. It doesnt matter if I play it back straight from the camera, or on my pc. I wanted to ask if this is "normal" with the z1000 or not? Here is a link to a quick vid (~7mb), and you can hear the noise: http://huelsmann.us/bugman/Misc_Images/Test_Vid.AVI

I am hesitant to send the camera back, because otherwise it works good, and the pics are great.

Thanks,

Hmmm. I just found a couple vids produced on a z1000, and I can just make out this sort of noise in the background. Mine seems to be much more pronounced - perhaps because I recorded it in a quiet room. I would greatly appreciate it if someonewith a z1000could take a quick vid in a quiet room, and play it back and LMK if you have the noise as well.

Regards,

Ugh, I contacted Casio, and they didnt believe this sound to be "normal". So I am going to send the camera back and try a new one...
