I am getting a system error (0e01) error on my QV-R40. Any ideas on how to fix?

It might be fixable via a firmware reinstall. See this thread about it:

I don't think the links to download it are good anymore though.

Hey, I have the russian firmware.

It worked for a lot of peaple but not me.

Its worth the try.

here are the instruction.

where can I put the file for you?

the file is 1.67Mb compress.

1. Extract and put QV-R40.bin in a root directory your sd card.
2. Power on the camera, keeping button MENU
3.To answer Yes in the appeared menu, after 20 second blinkings red and green lights it will write Complited.
