I am looking at getting this camera if it is suitable, but need to know some hands on information first. I am interested in how it works in video. It is an real shame there is no 720p 50 or 60 progressive mode, or 1080p 50 or 60.

If anybody is planning on getting one of these early would they like to correspond with me.

It is apparently coming in March.

not for $999! are you kidding me? I could get a real DSLR an Olympus E-510 with 2 lenses for $660. or a Lumiz FZ-50 for $470.
Or the Canon S5 IS for $330.

But you have to pay $999 for a FullHD camcorder with 1920x1080.

Photo making without features like EX-F1.

You cannot compare apples with pears.

I am thinking about approaching Casio for an advanced viewing but as I am in Australia this might not be till the May industry show.

Still an shame there is no 50/60fps 720p hd mode (or 1080p)
