Hi folks,..I've seen some good comments about this camera. Videos are equally important as stills to me. Main thing, though, I need a camera that will fit in a shirt pocket and can be pulled out, turned on and operated (including zoom) with only one hand. Can the V8 pass this test?

Finally, how is the LCD in bright light? I really prefer an OVF but that seems to be out of the question with small cameras that zoom during video.

Any other comments on this little camera would be wecomed, of course.

I just got my V8 yesterday. The LCD display is very bright, useable even on a bright sunny day like yesterday. I too used to prefer optical view finders, and would still love to have one, but got used to not having it with my last camera. A trade off for the small size. and there is a link there to a photo on my blog. I have not yet received the memory card for the camera so I'm just taking pictures using the internal memory until the card arrives next week.
