I have a two year old S600 that I love dearly. However, it suddenly stopped holding any settings. Each time that you turn on the camera, you have to select the language, etc or you can hit menu to bypass and the camera will still work. Camera functions fine but the date/time is incorrect and none of my custom exposure and color contrast settings are retained when the camera is turned off. I have the most recent firmware.

Sent to Casio's recommended repair shop (Magic Time Machine) and they want to charge $150 to fix a bad "motherboard." I had them send it back without repair.

Thought I would post here in case anyone has found a miracle cure for this problem. I have actually purchased another camera (this time a Canon, received yesterday). But, I don't like it as much as my beloved Casio.

I didn't get a response from anyone on the forums and was unable to find an answer anywhere else.
