Default Question about the EX-S3

I'm considering the EX-S3 as a gift for my wife. One thing I didn't understand from Steve's review was the copying of pictures from the internal 10Mb memory to the SD card. It sounds like something that would frustrate my wife (she's a simple gal). I played with one at CompUSA but they didn't have a memory card in the camera so I couldn't tell if it was something you needed to do or if it was optional. Can anyone elaborate on this feature?

If the S3 is like the S2, I can elaborate:

If there is no memory card in the camera pictures are recorded
to internal memory (obviously).

If there is a card present, pictures are recorded ONLY to the
card, ignoring the internal memory.

You can, via the menus do either of:
1. Copy all internal pictures to a memory card.
2. Copy pictures one-by-one from a card to internal memory.

You would only do this for your own picture/space management
reasons, and it is sometimes convenient.

You could use the camera fully for a lifetime, and never need
the copy facility: it is not essential for everyday picture making.

hope this helps

Default That's what I was hoping

Thanks Norman. That's what I hoped. I'm going to pick one up for my wife then. I was impressed with the form and ease of use of the camera. I think she'll love it.
