I'm considering buying the Casio EX-Z40 but I'm concerned about red eye. I know the Sony-T1 causes red eye on almost all flash pictures. Does the EX-Z40 also have this problem? I would hate to always have to edit out the red eye. Thanks!

Unfortunately all of the little (tiny) cameras suffer from red-eye. There is no way to get the flash far enough away from the lens. Red-eye reduction mode in most cameras uses a pre-flash or series of pre-flashes to shrink the subject's pupil but this usually makes most people blink when the main flash fires.

So out of the Sony-T1, EX-Z40 and Minolta Xt which one do you think takes the best quality flash pictures? Is the degree of red eye the same on all of the above cameras or is one better than the other. I want a small camera I could put in my pocket.
