I've had my EX-S3 for about a year now. I carried it in my trouser pocket in a zip-lock bag while deployed overseas. As you might guess, it now has an intermittent problem....

The battery does not power the camera, however, if I take the battery in and out several times, and shim the end with some paper, it works! I bought two new batteries, and none seem to hold a charge as long as it did when new. I saw another post about a door sensor-could it be this is the problem and not the battery contacts? The contacts inside the body appear to be OK.

btw, I found this camera to be exceptionally handy! Once I found that the ISO could be adjusted, the images were exceptional for the size of the lense! The only complaint is the size of the cradle-far too big to accompany the camera on an extended trip.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!
