Hi,

Does anyone know how to fix the System Error (0e01) that I keep getting when I turn on my camera. The Lens retracts and the LCD fires up, but all it does is flash System Error (0e01).

If anyone has any suggestions or possible solutions, I would really appreciate it.

I can't afford to get it fixed at $75/hour at our local Camera shop.

I have already cotacted Casio and they have yet to get back to me after 2 weeks.

Best regards,

This may not do anything, and you may have already thought of this, but here goes...

1. Take out the SD card if you have one in the camera.

2. Remove the batteries and leave them out for 24 hours. Put in GOOD batteries and DO NOT PUT THE SD CARD BACK IN THE CAMERA.

3. Power up the camera. See what happens.

I have the same problem also, but I havea Casio Exilim EX-Z3. Funny how the one thing that seems to go wrong is the one thing you have to pay to have fixed! And it always seems to happen right after the warranty runs out! Grrr...

First I loved the EX-Z3, and i have the same problem. Somehow you almost would think they programmed it to get broken when waranty is over.

Most stupid part of this type is that they event have any firmware online to fix it.

There is only one lesson for me learned from Casio:

I will NEVER EVER buy another Casio camera if it's their fault that the camera's get a system error and you have to pay for it to get it fixed.

A more lousy service then this is not possible.

my 2 cents.
