I took an awesome picture a month ago, but I had the date stamp on .... stupid thing.

How do I remove it? Casio Qv-3000

Try removing it with the Adobe Photoshop.

Default the non-adobe way?

I know I can do it in Adobe, but there must be a better way. I know for a fact that the date is not a part of the picture, because when I preview it on my camera, the date is not there...it only gets added as an overlay.

Any other suggestions?

I am afraid that there is nothing you can do about it (except correcting with photo retouching software). When you take a picture, the camera stores actually 2 images: one in the picture folder (this one contains the date stamp if setup to "yes") and second, small one in preview folder(has no date stamp even if set to "yes"). On my QV3500 when I preview the picture for first 1-2 secs I can not see the date stamp (camera has loaded the small one from preview folder) and then the date appears (loaded the real image). It is strange that you never see the date on LCD. Looks like QV3000 for LCD preview uses only the small picture from preview folder. Try to browse with windows explorer the preview folder on your CF and compare to the image folder.
