I have tried this with my Z57 (0e01) error and NOTHING happens. Maybe the software is different from one model to another.

:arrow:I've got a 6 month old EX-S100 giving the 0e01 error.
Working one day; error the next. Go figure.
No firmware update appears to be available.

Just spoke with Casio support -
they said to leave the battery out for 24 hours so that the camera coulddischarge completely, to it's "as shipped" state.

Since it's only been 17 minutes, I can't really report on the result, but my fingers are crossed! Waiting...

:!:Interestingly, using a hex editor to pokearound inside the .bin upgrade firmware fora couple ofother Exilim's (EX-P700, EX-Z55), shows thestring, "EX-S100.bin", mixed in with references toseveral other cameras, as well. Unfortunately, as these .bin files are different sizes and are described on Casio's site as being upgrades having different purposes, they can't (or, at least, really, really shouldn't) be used to upgrade the S100. Interesting to see how code is shared, though...
