I have a real problem with dust getting into my Exilim Z30. I was making a habit of keeping it in my pants pocket and now I believe that dust managed to get in through the viewfinder (the only obvious culprit)and in between the layers of plastic under the video display. I also noticed that the inside of the front of the viewfinder is "tainted" but fortunately, the internal ccd seems unaffected since there have been no problems with the actual output images onto my computer. I bought this camera from a "reputable" dealer in New York with an extended warrantee, but I haven't seen if they will cover the problem. I am considering taking it apart (I do have some technical skills!) but in all honesty I'm guessing that the layers of plastic on the display are permanently sealed (in this case, along with a bunch of dust). Any ideas? Or would someone like a otherwise perfectly functional Casio at a good price?!
P.S. It seems that the auto white balance on this camera kind of sucks for indoor pictures. I find myself using the incandescent setting in most cases to get the "yellow" out. Besides that, the cameras been great!
