:?Didanyone try the firmware update released today, to see if it fixes the whine noise , mic-speaker roundwhine theory or autofokus motor whine theory.

I read somewhere a guy got the tip from casio support that a firmware fix for the whinewould be availible somtime between 10th-13th July.

YAHOOOO! It WORKS!!!!! NO MORE WHINE!!!

I was contemplating purchasing a 2 GB card from B&H for my EX-Z750 but then I thought, What's the point? The video has whine; its just not worth it. Well now I can get that 2 GB card...

I also think a $27six inone PCMCIA slot adapter card for the Secure Digital media would be nice; it beats having to lug around the cradle to transfer photos. Cool!

MANY Thanks for the tip themite!

Check out dpreview forums. Many have tried the patch and it does fix the whine. Also fixes a couple of other issues. Most of the fixes are undocumented, as it appears CASIO doenst like to admit the camera HAD problems.
