After playing around I can squeeze only 2 hr 10 min in a 1GB into my Casio Ex-S500.

Someone here mentioned squeezing 3 hr. This is good enough for me.

Why buy another Divx portable player when you have one in your camera?

Super cool but it seems to confusing a procedure. wish I could do it on my Z750. Could you break down in simple terms what software you used and the step by step procedure? I would so much appreciate it! The links give all kinds of software but which specific ones did you use and in what order? IMHO they should have an earphone jack in all digital cams instead of the internalspeaker; that would be perfect.

I only need VirtualDub1.6.9 and Divx 5 codec. The rest is playing around with settings. Don't need FourCC conversion. Don't need all those DVD ripping programs and DVD/VCD burners. Most of my videos are already in Divx format. So all I need is ti change the res into 320x240 that s500 needs. I can only get 2hrs 10 min on a 1GB.

Lots for trial and error to get this far. Something in the VirtualDub is now setup for this now so it converts smoothly in batch mode.
