"The decision to keep the SD300 as our Editors' Choice came down to small differences between the two cameras. We think the optical viewfinder, manual options, and $50 price difference give the edge to the Canon"

We think ............... ???????

Some times its just too ovious that some reviewers get paid for the reviews - or they simply havnt made their research.

This guy at PC "Terry Sullivan" is clearly not a camera user.

How about missing cradle, much buliker design, small LCD, no anti shake, no MPEG4, not to mention the lack of features compared to the Casio.

No comments about those lacks at all from Mr. Terry Sullivan at "PC" ......

Amazing how a key customer with adv. budget can influence ....

I can say the S500 is worth it. I've had it for about a week. I really like mine. I had a Z750 and lens error problems. I returned that and bought this.

Superb little camera. I put together some sample images and wrote up a little review.

I am just a snapshot shooter. This is the perfect camera for me. The size, the images, everything is just right.

Give it a read and see what you think.

Hi, Mike.
I enjoyed your pictures and movies.^^
I need to buy one soon, but I can't decide between casio ex-s500 and canon sd400.

Did you use any picture mode (best shot) for each picture?
Since casio has so many selection of bestshot, are they really useful?
I mean like High Sensitivity and Night Scene with portrait. if casio don't use the flash, aren't they produce so many noise?
and I heard that there's one custom set up mode.
is it able to control shutter speed and aperture at custom set up mode? or just WB, saturate etc...? ^^
thanks,
i am also mac user^^ sorry I asked too many questions.
