Hello Guys,

I am not sure whether the casing of Z750 is metallic or not. I have seen several audio/video products of brands like sony, panasonic etc which are really painted plastic but look very metallic. There is no mention of any metallic casing in the manual. There is no engraved/embossed 'Made in Japan' on the casing. Does any one have any idea?:?

Mind is metallic and made in Japan. What's your concern? My Nikon D50 is made of plastic, and it's good.

Well, 'creamypanda' wrote his Z750 is 'Made in China' and there are others who have the same make. On my camera there is no 'Made in Japan' writing, but something else.(I don't remember the exact letters as I don't have the camera with me now). I would just like to know if there are two makes of the same Z750.

with rgs.

Mine is written "Made in Japan" at the bottom of the camera at the battery open lid. The shop show me the S500 which does not say "Made in Japan", and therefore it is NOT made in Japan. Probably it won't say it's made in China.

Hello guys,

We've had the 750 for almost a couple months now and love it!
The body appears to be aluminum. It is cool/cold to the touch in comparison to the plastic bat door.
Ours was made in China. Presumably the first manufacturing run (either for verification or qualification for production capability) was made in Japan at or around Casio Company. After this "trial run" has the bugs worked out and the capability of production is proven, quite often the manufacturing will switch to another country, ie. China, Philipines, Malaysia, etc. Not just for cameras but many products. I have noticed the posts regarding quality issues from 750's made in Japan seem to outweigh posts regarding 750's made in China. Thus, I specifically chose a 750 that was made in China over made in Japan. They are both the same camera (model and design) but seem to have a quality difference.
