Thank you Tim ! Now works !
One more: I have some avi files with MJPG codec (for the CASIO EX-Z30). And when I put them in Vegas, only the audio track appears. Any suggestions ? Is the same problem that the m4s2 codec ?

Thank you again.

edit: I´m fixed it installing the Morgan Mjpg codec.
Anyway Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you found it.

There is no need to reboot ones computer after loadign the community codec pack, but it is necessary to reboot Sony Vegas.

It was not all that easy for meto find the settings screen above since there are so many of them. Here is how.

Install the community codec pack
Start button
Programmes
Community Codec Pack
1) FFDShow VFW Codec Configuration
2) Decoder tab
3) Codecs menu item
Generic MP4 menu item in the right hand window
4) and select Libavcodec

The numberes refer to the numbers in the image below

Hi timtak,

I followed all your instructions on the codec configuration, but I still don't get the video, only the audio portion of an avi file which I try to open in Vegas 7.

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

I can only point out that there are three ffdshow configuration programms (two for video) and more than one tab in each. If you don't get the right one it will not work.

Also I think that it is necessary to restart Vegas.

The version I downloaded is this:

ffdshow-20041012.exe which is the latest version.

Is this the right one?

I don't have the latest fddshow. I can't see a version number.

It is was bundled with the Combined Community Codec Pack of 2006/July/28th
http://cccp-project.net/

I am pretty sure it was not necessary to reboot windows after changing the fddshow settings, but it may have been necessary to reboot after installing fddshow for the first time.
