I was very happy with my qv3500 until recently the sensor started to giving faults.

Just before my trip to russia i ordered and received the z850. Not my first choice , but available.

Used it only a week, and then error appeared. first totally shut off sensor. but still functional making BLACK photos. turning off and on sometimes made it working again. figured out that it had to do with the lensunit not fully functioning correct.

Problems became worse... not focusing anymore and finally shutting off by itself. only functioning in voice recording.

further impressions :

with the qv3500 photos with loading to pc automatic rotated. was very handy but seems not to work anymore ??

cameras become so small that almost uncomfortable, but i have small hands

little improvements in loader software. the calender view is nice, but not everywhere in the world the week starts at sunday.

lcd is awesome, very bright even outside in sunlight.

i would prever a small batteryloader and no docking station

the cam is returned. would like to have my money back and buy another brand/model

or replaced by another unit.

shop said they will send it for repair. repair time 4-6 weeks

that would mean missing it on the next trip.

the last word not said yet

2b continued

Seems it runs in the family. My Z750 presently has the same problem. But at least it can be focused manually.
