nice and soft pictures. I like that.
Please tell us about this lens - closeup +4 ?
No.10 is my favourite one.

Thanksseemolf. All the shots were taken with a Canon 20-D and a 150mm Sigma Micro. I just purchased this lens and I can not seem to put it down. I am starting to enjoy micro photography more than traditional photography. I am waiting on a set of Kenko extention tubes to arrive.

Hi arowana,
I prefer closeup - achromat lenses.

I used extension tubes with my Nikon FM-2, but I was not satisfied.
Cheap close-up lenses were not sharp enough.
A real macro is too expensive.

I really like #6. All of them look good.... until you get to the spiders.... uuggghhh, I dont care for spiders much....:?

Thank you for the comments. The spider in shot 8 and 9 I caught and still have him in a aquarium. I sent those two shots in to Popular Photography and Imaging to see if they would put one of them in there " Your best shot " section.

Very nice shots. I especially like the last spider shot...very nicely lit and the web is an added bonus. A couple look a bit dark on my monitor, but that may be my monitor. I would suggest you release the spider in the aquarium. Better to photograph them in their natural surroundings. That's just my opinion. Nice work. Woody

Thank you for the comments. The shots are a little darker than most like but I shoot with -2 on my flash to try to keep with the natural surroundings. I like the softer and less bright side of micros in the wild. As far as Mikey goes, the little black spider, I have already returned him to his plants at the wildlife viewing area. I have 4 tarantulas and a 280 gallon fish aquarium so he was'nt alone on his stay here. He got fed a few fruit filled crickets to.
