I would EV down 1/3 on the flash. So to avoid blowing out the bright spots. Great details on the wings.

Wow! I don't think I knew that a bumble bee's eyes looked like that. I agree about the wing detail. Great shot. What equipment did you use to shoot it?

I had no idea their eyes looked like that either.

Did the flash fire? Your EXIF data says

Exposure Time = 1/1000 second
Lens F-Number / F-Stop = /8
ISO Speed Ratings = 2500
Shutter Speed (Exposure Time) = 1/1024 second
Aperture = /8
Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
Focal Length = 100 mm
