If I may comment your shot, I think you cropped it a little too hard, but I'm new to photography so others may not agree.

Steffen, it has become popular in recent years to crop a subject so that the edges are out of the pictures. I doesn't always work, but, in most cases it is very effective. In the case of a large flower, the technique can be used to show more detail in the center of the flower while maintaining the overall scale and colors.

In the case of this flower, I think the cropping is just right. The one thing I notice is that it is a little dark. You might want to try some contrast enhancement. I like the color combination.
