Default Donkey orchids

I took these photos of Donkey Orchids [diuris species] on our last visit to Wollomombi gorge in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. They grow singly in grassy woodlands and you can easily miss seeing them.

#3 I took this photo lying on my stomach focussing upward against the treeline in the background.

They take their common name from the two upper petals which "appear like ears, splayed up but somewhat to each side and have enlarged rounded ends" [from Native Wildflowers of the New England Tablelands of New South Wales]

C&C welcome.
