the colors are beautiful in all of them, but a tip for the last one, wat the petals, the subject should be all the way in the shot.....you cut a bit of the petal off...just a tip for next time ;)

the lily is my favorite of the three.....i like the DOF....but just wondering, did you take any with a smaller arperture?

nice shots dude! keep posting!

I love that Passion Flower. The Lily is also very good. The last one does nothing for me I'm afraid. The only suggestion I can make is a slightly bigger DOF. When there is just one flower to look at I like to look at all of it. Just a person preference. :)

Both responses are, of course, correct about the last shot (Cosmos). Doesn't do anything for me either, now that I've had a chance to sleep on it. It is a good rule of thumb (do as I say, not as I do) to wait a few hours to a day or so before posting those "masterpieces."

I did shoot a few at smaller f stops (f8 - duh, like I said in another thread, I'm in an f8 rut) but the longer exposure times resulted in some subject movement. For some reason, I like shallow DOF, can't seem to shake it. I also like to "snip" off a bit of the petals. Personal preference is all. At least I tried to keep these their *natural* colors.

Thanks for the comments.
