Very nice watch, and good-looking product shot as well.

Very nice picture. Could you describe your stage setup and lighting?

If Paris Hilton saw that shot she would say..."That's hot". Id have to agree with her. Your focus, lighting, composition are all spot on.

I don't have any studio lights or anything so I had to make do with what I have, a fixed wall mount light fixture (100w bulb) over our nightstand :-) The watch was about 24" to 30" below the fixture. I used black cardboard for the base and sides. To Keep the watch in place I used a black velvet bag stuff with an old t-shirt to give it shape :-) I diffused the light with drafting mylar that I took from work  I also hit the dial with a flashlight for a few seconds to charge the hour markers and hands. Here's a photo of the actual setup... http://fototime.com/F3C80BA7BAB9F3A/orig.jpg |

Is it just me or are the pictures gone?

What did you have to do in Photoshop with this picture?
Did you underexpose it a bit to "remove" some of the areas where the velvet bag may have shown? Can you post the unedited photo? I've got a lightbox I made from PVC but I was using dark blue fabric with it. I need to pick up some black fabric and then try some pics. |
