helllllllllllllp. i took this at the zoo today. i just wish i knew what kind of flower it was.

if it's part of that large tree/bush/thing behind it, i think it's a magnolia...

it's hard to tell for sure, but the blooms in the background look like this one... it's of a magnolia in the Seattle Arboretum that i photographed a couple of weeks ago, before the blooms fully opened...

Japanese magnolia I think?

They are very slow growing, but very beautiful.

Once the blossom the petals fall straight to the ground.
