Obviously I'm no professional, but my own personal view here, I think it looks fine like that. I've only been to one site that everyone whines and complains about people who don't follow the rule of thirds and it annoys me. Personally, sometimes I find that a nicely centered subject works fine.

I don't really know anything about composition, but that picture looks very nice. If the subject is taking up that much of the picture, how else would you approach it?

What did you use to resize that picture? Looks pretty good for how small of a file it is.

Rule, shmool. I wish that they would re-name it the Guideline of thirds. You did what the subject required and put it were it belonged. You were right, that subject would not look natureal stuffed off to one side. In this case rules were definitely meant to be broken.
Nice job.

Bye the way, I see three petals nicely spaced, each 1/3 of the way around the center. There's your thirds for you.
