I was watching a group of very large (1.5 inch or so) bumblebees attacking a patch of wildflowers when I noticed this guy so into his work that he actually forgot to hold on to the flower. I got him just as he finally lost his grip. He fell an inch or two, recovered, and found his way to the TOP of the next flower.

Confessing my bias for natural science watching, I really like your capture of the hanging-on bumbling bee. Do you think the slight green on his collar is reflected color, actual color, accumulated pollen. It's neat, whatever it is.
