Default My first clear shot

I just got my first camera the other day, a sony f717, and although its an easy camera to learn, photography nescesarrily isn't so easy. after many test shots, this was the first one that came out decent enough not to have to use an incredible amount of photoshopping to salvage it, in fact othere than resizing and the border it's pretty much untouched. Can't wait til the weather gets better so I have more opportunities to go shooting. Any way, I'd appreciate anything that I could learn from you, so let me know what you think.
thanks, NoahG

Nice! My questions: What is it and why is it interesting to you?

Default What it is

Its the hub of an old piece of farm equipment burried in the blackberries near my home. I just thought it would be interesting to look at something I see everyday in a new way. Unfortunately, I don't have the bandwidth to show the full size image, as the texures of the rust and patina on the metal are what's truly interesting to me about the photo.
