Prepare to meet your Maker,,

if you are a flying insect, I'd HATE to see these eyes staring you down,, KNOWING whats ahead,, I purposely kept these dark to add to the intimidating mood of these, also highlighting the red eyes to make it more "demon" like,,,http://www.photographycorner.com/for...s/icon_eek.gif http://www.photographycorner.com/for...s/icon_lol.gif like a demon lurking in the darkness, stalking his prey, then with amazing speed and agility he captures what he so desires,,

thank you Toshi,, as far as getting these shots, I was looking for robbers when I found these actually, it was under a canopy pf trees so it was somewhat dark to begin with which added to the mystique,, I happen to see a few and they typically perch themselves on a twig as pictures in pic one, that puts them in prime ambush position, the second dude would dart off then return, dart off then return, it was obvious that he was hunting as he soon came back with his meal, alot of times they will just fly away if they feel theyve been spotted but here lately they seem to be a little more cooperative, on my last shoot I was able to get right next to one and brace myself against a tree and fire away, over and over,, Ive done that with Dragonflies before but not typically with Robbers,, these guys amaze me actually, amazing species, amazing speed and agility, they are at the top of their food chain :)
