I am testing a new hobby: digiscoping
Canon A70, Binocular russian MBS-10. 90mm 2* 14* ocular
A new world for me - absolute beginner:
This is the object I wanted to "fix".
A springtail, less than 1mm long. I found this baltic amber at Blavands Huk in denmark.
Age: at about 50 million years.

This is the bonus:
A golden beetle embedded in the same piece of amber.
There is a hole in it´s back. I know this from modern parasites who leave the body on a "short" way.
This could explain why the beetle is not surrounded by foggy liquids as you can see with many other embedded insects.
He was dead before he was prepared for eternity.

Any comments appreciated!

Neat images. Do I understand that you found the amber yourself? Please tell us about it.

Found it myself 11 years ago.
After a heavy storm we gathered them at the danish coast.
200 pieces and nothing to see, just gems.
But now I analyzed them with transparent light and found 4 different creatures!
Sanded them like described in wikipedia - 400, 1000 sand paper and tooth paste!
Wikipedia tells that there is one inclusion in 500 pieces, so I was very lucky!

I started with amber inclusions sold at flea markets, as described here:

Started with this theme some days ago, there will be better pictures.

I am not intending to put this posting "on the top" again.
But to prevent double posting, here is a third thread concerning this theme:
