Water

I know nearly every single one of us has gone for the water shot before, I know I have but today thought I would have another play. I started with the usual droplet shots and then decided to up the anti a little with fast flowing water.

Shot with Canon 7D, Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro and Canon 580EX off camera.

Having shot quite a few hundred shots of dripping liquids I appreciate these. Just great. Nice color for the background. Your depth of field in the crown shot is perfect. Your last shot reminds me of Terminator 2 when the guy starts flowing all back together at the end. If you shoot through the side of a clear glass of hot coffee that has froth on the top the effect is very similar and the colors are pretty good too. For something different try doing soap bubbles. Here is an example of one I saw on the internet. Its just to show what shooting a single bubble can produce.

Never to old to play with water! :D

They are very good. The background colour make the pictures even more indulging.

Try dropping a few drops of printer ink color into the water and for some variety use one color in the bowl and another color as the drop. I couldnt imagine doing this with a film camera.

I really like #3 and #5. Do you have to have a Macro lens to get those kind of results? Those are nice!
