Default I like it

Guys, I happen to really like this flower shot I took at a Stately home last Sunday (Errdig).

What do you think? or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

It was a very bright sunny day and I just zoomed in (hand held)

All I've done is a bit of levels and sharpening.

Anyone know what it is BTW - gardening isn't my thing - I leave it to the boss.

Well Steve. I'm not the gardening boss here either!

Regarding the photo, I think you got a bit too much saturation for my taste (the red one). but great shot anyway. Beautifull.

Regards
Klaus

The sun was high and bright making the flower very bright too. I even used a polarising filter to reduce glare. Ideally I could have gone back later with a softer light but went home hot and knackered - however, I personally like it that way.

I think it is quite pretty - even though I have no clue what it is...
I love the colored leafy bits over on the left as well.

I bet if you would take it over to www.gardenweb.com and post it in the "name that plant" forum, you would find out in a hurry what sort of flower it is :-)

I have a few macros of some of my passiflora blooms in the passiflora gallery over there, myself.

Regards,
~Tiger

It's a geranium. (It's sad that my first reply on this site has to be about FLOWERS...

I like it.

I'm not one to try to find symbolism in everyday pictures, even if the pictures are quite beautiful, but when I look at this I see the flowers as being outcasts.. from the same origin, the same.. 'root'.. but apart from everything else..

Maybe I'm just in an odd frame of mind..

I'm with klaus, the saturation is a bit heavy.
I think the composition is fine etc..

Aloha,
