From my walk yesterday - I didn'tsee these until I zoomed in on this one. I am amazed that we have such beautiful rocks around here - usually they are just plain brown or black. There is a lot of quartz in the park, but I think these may have some lichens or something growing which makes some of the color. I'm not a geologist, but I think they are beautiful!

I am a geologist and they are still beautiful.

My avatar. Well I am not a morning person to say the least. My mom, knowing that I am a curmudgeon until I have had a couple of cups of coffee thought this cup suited me to a tee. So she sent it to me. It is inscribed on the bottom as the "Curmudgeon Cup". I took a picture of the front of the cup and frosted the edges. The cup is clay and hand made.

Cheers,

Bill

It sure is an "ugly mug" - nothing personal!! Truly cumudgeonly... You must really be a bear in the am to rate that! But it's a great photo.

That's about the nicest thing one could say to me about my photography! And right back at YOU - your lovely property and barn buildings just are rare and wonderful in your photos, but some folks would just see a barn and a field.....

Just as a PS, I think you should submit that wonderful pelican photo - the one that is all golden with the heads laid back - as a POTD. I can't get that one out of my mind - it's just gorgeous.

Would I have your permission to print it out and frame it as a gift for my Aunt? Be happy to send you a fee to do so. Let me know.
