Can anybody tell me why this green fly has exhaust pipes, It's not as ifthey are fast movers:-)

It's not a fly. It's an aphid - a '68 by the look of the tailpipes.

Not only is it a '68 fast back model, but those dual exhausts it's got the big motor, with the 4 barrel carburator.

Does that mean It's a"68,double overhead cam fastback with twin catalytic converters" and if so what sort of thrust does it produce andwhat is the top speed does it do? (I might see if I can disguiseit as a snail and take it snail racing)

Do think that will work?

I am an agriculture engineer in Turkiye and working on Plant protection department. I must to explain that this is very nice shut. We haven't got clear photos like this.

Surfnron is right. It is an aphid. it uses its pipe for mating invitation.They spreads feromon(smell peculiar to aphid) from their pipes. Especially aphids identifies their pipes.
