I had problems deciding, where to put this shot, - stupid pet tricks, 'but he doesn't do anything in this shot' - maybe portret photography, 'but he's kind of small' ,so close-ups might be the place for it, although it was shot at about 1.5m distance (what is not realy a close up)

shot with a pentax k10d with tamron AF70-300mm lens in macro mode (1:2) with flash.

Very nice Ronny! I had a budgie that just died this Christmas. She was 15yrs old. I just asked my son tonight should we get another or maybe a canary...haven't decided. donna

Donna, sorry to here about you budgie.

We had canaries more than some years back, then got a Budgie that stayed with us for 6 years, it was rather old when you got it.
The next one got away , and this one is now 8 years. If you ask me, I never could get those canaries tame, with budgies it's another story. My daughter and I are his biggest friend,s my wife however ... that depends from day to day.
