Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum so hopefully I can get the image to post right. I enjoy the outdoors a lot and you'll see that in most of my pictures. This picture I took while bushwacking through one of the many greenspaces around where I live.

The tree bark has nice shape, texture, and tones. Keep bushwhacking, camera in hand and post some more.

Thanks Jdar! I haven't been out lately due to the weather here in Ontario, but I've just started night shifts so I'm hoping to get out and do some more exploring :-)
I always come across burnt out stumps that look like what I think is in your profile pic. How did you get the moon in the peep hole? was that edited in or an actual photo?

here's a few others...

I like this one of a tree reaching for the sky, it was a slight drizzle that day and some drops of rain landed on my lens, giving that fuzzy bright light effect towards the top of the tree trunk. I kind of like the effect it causes

Well, you and I will never run out of things to photograph--tree bark, mushrooms, fungi, moss, etc. are also great subjects in my book. You asked about my avatar and yes, it's a burned stump from a major forest fire, the shadow of man on its side, and the heavens/hope beyond. It's not a test but any interpretation on those lines is a good one.
