the tulip tree at a local park is starting to bloom... can spring be far behind? not so much a "close-up", since it was taken from about 10 feet away, but the effect is the same! Canon 30D with Sigma 80-400 @ 400mm, 1/400 @ f11...

The photo has the feel of an oriental brushstroke painting--simple and direct, yet more. In a lighter vein one could say it's fuzzy and sharp at the same time from the detail on the opening flowers. It's a refreshing display!

Razor sharp, great detail and true-to-life colour. More importantly, the bokeh thoughsimple yet was just right for theparallelly displayed tulips.
