Hi there,

while toying around with my newest lens, a Pentax-A 50/1.7, I sat at my kitchen table and tried for some shallow DOF pictures - when I noticed the lens cap and how it sat in the "shadow" of a flower pot. I fiddled a bit to get it from the right angle and get the DOF I wanted and ended at: 1/160s, ISO 400, f/2.0, manual WB and MF.

It's an old and used lens cap... it for sure could tell stories. I got the lens from a collector (together with a old Pentax-ME) who wasn't really using it to take photos - now it's back into business ...

Have fun with this photo of an old lens cap, takenwith a newborn old lens.

How do you like it?

Regards,

Th.

The colors look a little warm to me, but I like that effect and I think it works well for this particular picture.

It's indoor with normal (non-neon) lightbulbs and the lamps are also yellow...orange so the whole light is very warm - it's a tad too red/orange, but only a tad - so I didn't adjusted the WB and took as it came from the camera.

@All

Thanks for your nice comments!
