Default A Cricket in my Bathroom ?

When I woke up this morning I noticed a cricket standing in my bathroom floor.
Well, never did a close-up before, so, why not !

Not so easy getting things on focus with my Coolpix 4300 when u are too much close and there is not so much light.
So I have taken my pocket lamp and I have put some light on it.

This is the first shot :

( I have cleaned some dust on the floor digitally ).

And this is the same shot at its maximum resolution (I couldn't reach getting less than 20cm distance ) :

Don't worry : antennas have been digitally cut for aesthetic reasons

Then I have tried to make it jump on a paper and then reach the top of my washing-machine.

This is the shot on the "white" background :

I have helped him to go down and I have thanked him.
I took this last shot while he was going away :

I have tried taking close-up wit 4300 but it oly focuses on backround. I have good light on subject. Even though on scene settings "close-up", are there any other settings camera should be on to fucus the recommended this close amount?

I have also noticed when doing a portrait, the backround focuses more than subject.

Thanks

Pashue

For some reason the pictures don't show up on my computer. Too bad, I wanted to look at it.

Steve, I can't see them anymore either. right click on the redX and select properties. Copy the link in the properties and paste in the address bar in your webbrowser, hit enter and it should appear. hope that's clear.

Dennis:

Got it, and it worked just fine. That's very awesome because sometimes I come across those redX's frequently. No idea why they won't come up, but atleast now I have the alternative. And yes, it's a she.

Cheers,

Steve
