Took his today in my garden (the only thing blooming so far in my northern garden). I am still new to macro photography, and this was my first attempt in the garden. Any comments are appreciated.

mcliu,

The flower is called a Snowdrop. I can try and find the latin name if that is what you are looking for. They are called Snowdrops because they often are the first flowers to bloom in spring, coming up through the snow. It is tiny, only a 2-3 inches high. I will take a wider angle shot for reference.

I found the name of the flower for you. It is Galanthus nivalis. There are a number of varieties, some taller than the ones in our garden. Most of them have small flowers though. Here is a picture of my hand next to the flower, for reference.
