Canon 100mm Macro lens. Taken just before sun went behind clouds and the rain broke loose.

Thank you Bill, I am being told it appears to be a Great Spangled Frittillary not a moth....so unless someone comes up with a more definite, this is what we'll call it.

I think it is a nice shot, but I would have liked to see the antennae in the shot. To me it is like cutting off part of a persons head. A nice attempt though.

I hear ya...................but hey, was happy to get this with the windy conditions. I am practicing for our Colorado trip when we will be out there in peak wildflower season with all the butterflys and bumblebees around. Thanks for looking.
