Canon 100mm Macro...early evening. Not sure what this flower is either. They are very ragged looking and the bumblebees seem to love them.

Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome.

In macro shooting ,there two difficulty I always face:-1) Stabilty of cam ( by the time I set my Tripod,Insect already hopped to some other place)
2) DOF ( I hate it When I see my result,Either the tail is in sharp focus or the part in front of eye,But never the eye. After taking so much of pain )
I notice in your image eye is well in focus, but I feel if the whole bee be in sharp focus then you have a winner on your hand,IMHO.Otherwise It is a nice image atleast better than mine ofcourse.LOL

Thanks for the critique.....I like the way this turned out and many others who do macro photography agree that the focus should be in the eyes of the bug especially when it is head on like this primarily is.......thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Bill....I like it too. Since I am still working on getting this technique of macro photography down, I think this one turned out pretty well.

for me the focus on the flower works really well and given the colours of the floswe, all very delicate, a very good picture :-)

Thank you musket......I had fun watching the bees move around and finally got one that stared me down long enough to shoot this photo.
