I find this flower (fuscia)interesting as well as pleasing to the eye; one of my wife's favorites. I took this photo with the Canon XTI (400d) and Canon's cheapie 50mm F1.8, and this lens seems to do quite well. Bob

That is really pleasing--I think it's an instance of a photograph with the depth of field/bokeh/etc maybe being more pleasing than what the eye could do in real time.
