all of those are just awesome, number 3 being my favorite. There's a reason why the lotus plant is considered sacred Now, if you want to be like the egyptians, you can pluck that flower off and steep it in a glass of wine for a few hours then drink it.

*I'd bet there would be people willing to buy the rights to that third picture

#3's my favorite, too. I think Xfxgeforced is right about people being willing to buy the rights to this one - it's an incredible shot. Very well done.

Xfxgeforced, Toshi and Marbles,

Good morning. Thanks for viewing and giving comments. Re. compliments, not at all. It is only the lotus flowers which are so pretty, elegant and full of life that make things possible for me. Another thing is the light, without which things will turn out to be pretty dull.

Xfxgeforced mentioned about the sacred nature of the lotus. I can't agree with that more and I think that is also true of people all over the world.

In China, the lotus is regarded as thefloral esquire, with the quality of purity and good virtues. One of the grounds for that is that it comes from the mud but has not a stain of the mud in it.

From the food science point of view, the benefits we can get from the lotus are also immense. We can use the whole lotus for edible and medicament purposes. Its leaves are widely used as wrapping materials for rice dumpings.

Many thanks for the patience of dropping by and giving comments.

'wom' especially for no. 4. It is difficult to show the details in the white and that picture seemingly has done so.
