This butterfly was pretty warn out by the second week of the Epcot flower show in April. I felt she deserved to have some recognition in her faded glory. The butterfly tent was more like a butterfly nursing home.... but wonderful photo ops despite the overcast day and the geriatric-ness of these beautiful creatures.

I have also taken the leap to set up a gallery on smugmug. If you have time to take a peek, I'd appreciate your comments, good or not so good. I have plenty to learn yet and my editing skills are also rudimentary at best.

The butterfly does now have a kind of immortality in the digital realm.

I looked at your digidale smugmug site and really like the display choices you have made as well as the pictures. "Refreshing" is one of my favorites, though I could not pick a single favorite--nicely done.

Thanks very much for your comments JDAR and for taking the time to view my galleries. It is always nice to get encouraging feedback since I am just starting to put my images "out there". I feel a little 'exposed'.(excuse the pun...)
