We had a bunch of flowers sitting on the dinning room table over the christmas holidays which make excellent subjects to photograph.

I moved the flowers closer to the front living room window causing the light to hit the flowers from one direction. To set the dark background I grabbed a black coat and put it around the base.

Removed the color in "grayscale" then added 4 tones of color in "duotone", deepened up the black, added some defuse glow and there you have it.



20d, 17 - 85mm IS

I like the tone and contrast here. They exactly tell the magic of black-and-white photography.
