These are really nice, Ed. The detail and DOF on the cropsare astounding. Fruit trees are just starting to bloom here. I've been planning to go out and shoot this morning, trying to decide what. Think you just made the decision for me, but I doubt I'll reach this quality.

Dawg - I like the last one the best. The pick inner part is a good contrast with the whiteI think- Bruce

The only pear blossoms I could find were not so attractive, but I did find a nice weeping cherry.....and a visitor

Thanks Bruce. I like that one too. This lens has very good Image quality but the DOF wide open is paper thin.

Thanks. I wound up wandering out to the botanical gardens for an hour or so. I'm going to post a couple of others in the Pentax forum. This one was taken with the Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 Di LD Macro.

I had one of those and it does a pretty good job of long macros.
