You really are not going to be able to do this with your camera. To get photos like this you need some very specialized equipment. Just reversing a lens in front of your existing lens is not going to make a mediocre macro camera into a good macro camera.

The best of the fixed lens digital cameras to do this would be either one of the Nikon CP series with the tiny lens or one of the Sony or Minolta cameras which have excellent macro abilities to start with. The smaller the lens, the more likely you will be to be successful.

With a dSLR you can reverse a lens like the 28-105 and use a dedicated flash to get about 1:4. You can add a bellows, rails, extension tube, etc., and a good tripod and ring flash or dedicated macro flash and get this type shot, but you will not get close with your present set up.

Best regards,

Lin

This guy gets some GREAT results from a Canon G3 and a reversed lens / closeup diopters.
